SQI Group International Corporation kicked off its much-anticipated 2025 Basketball Tournament on July 19, 2025, with an electrifying opening event that brought together players, muses, admins, and supporters for a day filled with fun, passion, and team spirit!
The tournament brings together multiple teams from across the organization — including admin, warehouse staff, and logistics personnel — all geared up to showcase their athletic skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship on the court.
The event opened with warm and heartfelt remarks from Mr. Carlos Ong, who encouraged all participants to not only compete but also enjoy the moment, create meaningful memories, and build stronger camaraderie among teams. Day 1 – Game 1: SQI Admin vs. SQI Warehouse Team A
An intense showdown with a nail-biting finish! Both teams gave their all, but in the end, SQI Warehouse Team A narrowly clinched the win with a close score of 62–60. The crowd went wild with every shot and steal, cheering loudly as the tension built to the final seconds. It was truly a game to remember!
Day 1 – Game 2: A Dominating Victory
Game 2 kept the momentum going — one team came out firing on all cylinders, delivering a commanding 70–52 victory. With seamless teamwork and aggressive play, they dominated their opponents and sent a strong message for the games ahead.
